Cost
The cost for a demolition permit can differ in Vietnam dependent on the size of the structure and the number of days required to tear down the structure. The person applying for the permit must pay the cost before a permit is issued. Before commencing demolition, the demolition contractor must post the permit’s certificate in an area that is easily clear and visible to passers-by or pedestrians. Contractors are also required to submit evidence of insurance, an approved safety plan written for the site, and an assessment of the structural condition.
The city may remove a home in the event that it is unsafe or in poor state. The owner must agree to the demolition, and pay for any damage incurred due to the demolition. The city will not tear down buildings that are protected by laws. If the building, reconstruction or demolishment of a detached home or any other structure is more than the limit specified the demolition permit is required. Application Process
The City will review every application within 20 days and issue permits. The permit is available for download on the website of the City, or sent directly to the applicant, or owner of the property.
A lot of the colonial structures located in Ho Chi Minh City have been neglected over the years and are at risk of collapse. If the Vietnamese contractor isn’t competent, foreign contractors must join a consortium with Vietnamese contractors or employ Vietnamese subcontractors. They must adhere to the other legal requirements and provide complete dossiers. The authority that licenses construction department of construction in the province must be notified by the contractor of the execution of the contract not before the 16th of December of each year.
Individuals and organizations that violate the law are punished by the city. The penalties will vary from 10 to 20 millions VND and they could be compelled to cease their activities. The city is planning to increase its inspection staff. The city is also planning to punish companies that fail to submit their registration details on the National Business Registration Portal in the timeframe specified. This is in violation of the law on investment and other regulations.
Demolition Permit Fees Vietnam
